I have built a successful career in broadcast engineering and currently serve as an Engineer in Charge and Network Architect for All Mobile Video. I am deeply passionate about my career and have no intention of leaving my current position. The work is rewarding, challenging, and represents years of professional growth.
What makes my situation unique is the schedule my career provides. Through project-based production cycles, I consistently have approximately six to eight months each year available for additional professional work. Rather than allowing that time to go unused, I am seeking to dedicate it to network engineering because I am equally passionate about the field and want to continue expanding my knowledge, experience, and technical skill set.
I am not seeking a second career—I am seeking to invest my available time in becoming a stronger network engineer.
Networking is already a critical part of the work I perform. Modern broadcast environments depend on carefully designed infrastructure carrying audio, video, communications, control, timing, management, and production data. I have designed, configured, documented, standardized, and maintained production networks built around Aruba and Cisco technologies, with experience in switching, VLAN architecture, multicast, IGMP, spanning tree, quality of service, monitoring, firmware planning, and troubleshooting under the pressure of live production.
I am seeking an arrangement built around flexibility rather than a traditional forty-hour office schedule. I work exceptionally well in remote environments, on deadline-driven projects, and in roles where results are measured by execution and reliability rather than time spent at a desk.
I fully recognize that my broadcast career will remain my primary professional commitment. However, during my available production downtime, I am prepared to dedicate myself fully to meeting the responsibilities, deadlines, and expectations of an additional engineering role.
In exchange for an employer willing to accommodate this flexible arrangement, I am equally prepared to be flexible in return. I am open to negotiating compensation that reflects this unique working relationship, and I am confident that my experience, work ethic, and ability to deliver results will exceed expectations.
I bring more than technical knowledge. I am accustomed to entering complicated environments, identifying what matters, organizing incomplete information, and creating a clear path forward. I am comfortable performing the methodical work that prevents failures: documentation, testing, verification, cleanup, standardization, and the completion of critical tasks that are often overlooked until something goes wrong.
